The team was managed by Bob Schmidt with the help of coaches Dave Hir, Bill Stevens, and Dan Losey. Players include Madi Hir, Ashley Niesman, Madi Miller, Rissy Mangini, Gracie Dias, Remi Losey, Kelly Kirchner, Jaime Lowe, Kasandra Castle , Sheilagh Stevens, and Stephanie Schmidt

WELLINGTON WILD CONTINUES IT'S WINNING WAYS A new season - same results. The Wellington Wild 10U Blue Team opened up the travel season with a 1st place finish in the 2005 JTAA Fall Classic, held in Jupiter, FL. This was the first tournament for this team in the 10U division (moving up from an incredible run in the 8U division last summer), and they did not disappoint. A difficult test, the girls had to fight their way through a number of seeding games over a 5 week period, against the Royal Palm Beach Panthers, PB Gardens Gators, Jupiter Seahawks and the Port St. Lucie Panthers, to finish as the # 2 seed. The "Wild" then stormed through the playoffs, to find themselves back in familiar territory, the championship game, against the PSL Panthers. The Panthers opened the scoring with 1 run in the top of the first inning. The "Wild" would then come back with 3 runs in the bottom of the first, and would never look back, winning the championship by a final score of 8-2. This was a complete team effort centered around dominating pitching and defense, along with timely hitting and aggressive base-running.

8 Under Red

The Wellington Wild 8U Red finished their outstanding season by 
capturing 2nd place in the NSA World Series, held on 8-13-05,  capping 
off one of the most successful seasons in the history of the Wellington 
Wild program.  These young ladies made it to the Championship game in 8 of 9
tournaments that were played.  They were victorious in three of the
tournaments, including a dominating performance in the NSA State
Championship, where they only surrendered a total of 3 runs the entire
weekend.

Coaches: Jenny Schmidt, Tom Miller, Dan Losey, and Tom Jones. Players- Aubree Muehlberger, Ashley Niesman, Madi Miller, Remi Losey, Stephanie Schmidt, Caitlin Drake, Sydney Jones, Kelsey Lay, Kasandra Castle, Kelly Kirchner, Megan Turnquest.

The Wellington Wild 8 & Under Girls Travel Softball team started their season off with a bang. The team traveled to Pembroke Pines to play in their one-day tournament competing with 8 teams in their division. The Wild began the morning with a 14-5 win over the Palm Beach Gardens Gators followed by a 21-7 win over the West Pines Diamond Dusters. They then faced the Gators again for a 5-2 win. This brought them to the Championship facing the West Pines Diamond Dusters A team, which has been the Wild's rival for years. The Wild wins 8-7 over the Dusters to bring home their first Championship trophy. The girls had an incredible offensive day and exceptional defense. What a long day for 7 and 8 year-old girls, but all went home with a big trophy and an even bigger smile.

The 2002 season has started in fast mode. 3 Wellington teams finished in the money at our first tournament, our own Walk on the Wild Side 1 day Tournament. Our 12 Red team finished in 1st, while the 14 & under and the 10 & under teams finished second.

Fall 2001

Congratulations!!!

One of our 10 & Under Travel Teams, and our14U Fall Travel Team took 1st place in the Jupiter Fall Classic Tournament. The girls played an awesome 5 weeks of softball. Coming into the playoff weekend 11/17 - 11/18 the Wild 14U was seated 2nd with a 9-3 record.
They finished the season with an impressive 12 - 3 record and took home the 1st place trophy. Great job girls!

2001 Summer Highlights

Congratulations to the Wellington Wild 12U Red Team who took 2nd place in the NSA B State Tournament in Gainesville. The girls played hard all weekend!

April 29th West Pines One Day Shootout Tournament

The Wild Red 12 & Under team took 1st Place May 18th - 20th, in the ISA Sunshine Shootout in Bartow, Fl.. The girls battled back on Sunday coming in with a 1 win 2 loss record. They came back on Sunday beating the teams that they lost to on Saturday in Seeding.
